Once again the its time for our annual Cooper River Bridge Run, only this time it we stretch across the fairly new Authur Ravenel Bridge. The masses will arrive from all over the globe and Charleston, SC will be bustling with runners. This years 32nd Cooper River Bridge Run's 10K starts in Mt Pleasant, SC and ends in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The race will start promptly at 8:00 AM on Coleman Boulevard. The race will finish on Meeting street between Society and George Streets. The slope of the bridge is 4% (a rise of about 200 feet in about 1 mile).
Don't get to serious about this event unless you are an avid runner. Many dress up and have fun with this event...especially us locals. Just another reason to have afternoon cocktails! Runners with a huge appetite and thirst. Run over and visit the best bars and restaurants in Charleston to feed, and quench that thirst. There is one bar who claims to own the party " I slept through the Bridge Run". Blind Tiger on Broad Street...hint, hint.
