Downtown Charleston events tend do be concentrated in certain areas of the lowcountry, this one will be no different. On Upper King Street, a quite hip area, The American Theatre, The Charleston Ballet Theatre, Trio Club, and The Music Farm will host a few of the 2012 Comedy Festival shows. The only exception, to most of the shows being located in downtown Charleston, is the Charleston Pourhouse. It's actually located on James Island and will be holding a few shows at this years Comedy Festival. The Charleston Comedy Festival starts nightly between 7-10PM with alcoholic beverages available at all of the venues except the Charleston Ballet Theatre. Downtown Charleston bars will be hoppin' these few days, take your significant other out for something besides "dinner and a movie". Why not some laughs? Sift through these local Charleston restaurants, bars, and pubs for before ands after dinner and cocktails.
