Summerville is hosting its annual
2014 YMCA Flowertown Festival this Spring, presented by the
Summerville Family YMCA.
In its 40th year now, the YMCA Flowertown Festival has been ranked one of
the "top 20" events by the Southeast Tourism Society. It also receives
200,000 visitors annually since its birth in 1972. For those who love
arts and crafts it's time to to check it out for yourselves!
The YMCA Flowertown Festival, which is a recurring highly coveted Charleston event, features over 200 jury selected vendors and craft persons throughout beautiful Azalea Park. Peruse arts and crafts such as; painting, ironwork, needlework, glass working, woodworking, pottery, textiles and more! Summerville's restaurants that have been involved in previous 'Taste Of The Town' (a former Summerville event), will make their presence felt this year serving up some of Summerville's tastiest bites!
As this is a family-friendly event, there will be fun activities and rides for children to enjoy, at the Children’s Jubilee. YMCA Summerville asks that you please leave coolers and pets at home. There will be plenty of tasty food and cold beverages for purchase. Admission is free, so bring the whole family for a full sensory experience everyone can cherish!
