2007 Charleston Maritime Festival
Thursday, May 17 - Monday, May 21, 2007

Join an expected 15,000 boat and maritime fanatics in celebrating the history of all things boating in sunny Charleston, South Carolina. Tall Ships of Charleston will sponsor this Charleston event located right on the Charleston waterfront.  Enjoy free sailing, a children's maritime village, crafts, pirate camps, wooden boat exhibits, maritime art and of course...plenty of Charleston food and drink.

Saturday, May 19th from 6:00 - 10:00 PM join the Funky sounds of Here Come The Mummies performing on the old Spirit Of Charleston shipyard.  Food and beer vendors will be available in site.

On the dock of the Maritime Center, on the Charleston Harbor, see over a dozen tall ships setting sail along with The Spirit of South Carolina to race Sunday from
Charleston to Bermuda.  This race is also known as the C2B...make sense? Ship tours start at 10 each morning and end at 5 in the evening.  On the lawns of the Maritime Center one can graze through many maritime exhibits, live music, wooden boats and more.

Walk a few feet from the Charleston Maritime Center to experience what Charleston South Carolina's taverns, bars, and restaurants have to offer.
