Charleston MOJA Arts Festival
Thurs. Sept. 26 - Sun. Oct. 6, 2013
MOJA or the Swahili word meaning "ONE", is the title for this year's
cultural Charleston, SC event. This festival is
directed and put on by the City of
Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, and MOJA Planning Committee.
This has been one of the Southeast Tourism Society's Top 20 events for 6
years running and has been around for 30 years.
Let us all join together as "ONE" to celebrate Charleston's rich African
American and Caribbean culture of arts. One will see most events for
free or a minimal price of under $20. This includes dance, visual
arts, dancing, R&B, jazz, theatre storytelling, gospel, classical music,
traditional crafts and children's activities as well. Look for the
Grand Finale Block Party behind the US Custom House, always the best part!
