Lowcountry Oyster Festival at Boone Hall Plantation

  Oh yeah...its definitely oyster season in Charleston, SC.  Join other oyster fanatics in celebrating that "salty crustacean".  This annual tradition will be held Sunday January 29th, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and gates open at 10:30 AM.  Boone Hall Plantation will host this annual Charleston event as usual, located right off of Highway 17, on Long Point Road.

  This years Boone Hall Oyster Festival will be no different from the last, with an oyster eating and shucking contest, live music, and other local food vendors.

  Plenty of "suds", the ultimate oyster accompaniment on a cold brisk day, will be available with imported and domestic selections.  If oysters aren't your forte, pick up an adult beverage and call this another excuse to party in Charleston!

  Dress for the weather, some years are cold, wet, and soggy .  This Charleston, SC event is "rain or shine" so, come prepared.   

  That January Sunday afternoon will be rockin' in Mt. P so, find the right Mount Pleasant bar or restaurant to carry on that buzz.
