Taste of Charleston
The taste of Charleston is back again
in 2013, one can almost feel the nip
in the air and smell the sweet aroma of Charleston, South Carolina's world
renowned restaurants. This fun filled, September afternoon event, will
be held at Boone Hall Plantation, as usual. Just hop on Highway 17 North, from
the downtown Charleston peninsula.
This year there are three main events held in or around downtown Charleston, SC. The first on Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant, SC, the Iron Chef competition is to be held at Trident Technical University, and the main event (what the festival has been known for) at Boone Hall Plantation also in Mount Pleasant!
The line - up for this year's "Taste Of Charleston" events are as follows:
Fri., Sept. 27, 2013 - Taste of Charleston,
"Sweet & Southern on Shem Creek"
Held on Shem Creek, at the Lighthouse, enjoy local live entertainment with singers and songwriters, as well as some of Charleston's best catering companies. Tickets are $50.
Fri., Sept. 27 & Sat., Sept. 28,
Historical participating Charleston, SC restaurants will create three (3) course menus paired with delicious craft beers! Check out Charleston Restaurant Association's website for a list of participating Charleston restaurants.
Sat., Sept. 28, 2013 - Taste of
Charleston, "The Iron Chef Competition"
To be held at the Culinary Institute of Charleston's Palmer Campus in their state of the art stadium kitchen. Charleston's premier chefs will go head-to-head in a culinary battle! Amphitheater Seating - $100, General Admission - $50.
Sun., Sept. 29,
Peruse over 50 locally owned Charleston restaurants, their chefs, and their tasty bites! Tickets are $17.50 in advance and $25 the day of the event.
