As if you just stepped into an old Italian restaurant in Rome, “Il cortile”, as pronounced by locals, is very relaxed and… especially European. Serving up “old country” favorites makes this restaurant one of my favorites in Charleston, South Carolina.
Enjoy a seat in front of the fireplace or at the wine bar, which is strategically surrounded by local art and original European décor. Their outside courtyard is made for those “peninsula” evenings in Charleston we all like to savor. “Salute.”
Il Cortile Del Re's
restaurant and trattoria offers a well balanced menu with authentic Italian
apps, seafood, meat and plenty of desserts. The key with
Cortile's menu is the preparation and authenticity of the ingredients
whether it be braised, cured, or pan roasted. Try Il Cortile Del Re's
cheese plate and a glass of port or mascato for dessert, "when in Rome".
