As if you just stepped into an old Italian restaurant in Rome, “Il cortile”, as pronounced by locals, is very relaxed and… especially European. Serving up “old country” favorites makes this restaurant one of my favorites in Charleston, South Carolina. Enjoy a seat in front of the fireplace or at the wine bar, which is strategically surrounded by local art and original European décor. Their outside courtyard is made for those “peninsula” evenings in Charleston we all like to savor. “Salute.”
