   Isle of Palms is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.  Like any beach community...restaurants, bars and nightlife are a major player in the Island's distinct personality.

  One of the oldest and most popular attractions on the Isle of Palms is The Windjammer.  Locally known as Charleston's premier beach club, The Windjammer offers everything from great live music to bikini contests.  The Windjammer, founded in 1972, is a Charleston area institution.

  Besides hosting a wide selection of live music for all tastes, The Windjammer also hosts AVP beach volleyball tournaments and has hosted the Budweiser Bikini Bash since 2002.  They also serve good food ranging in selection from fried pickles to burgers to peel and eat shrimp.
