A slightly new arrival to elevating James Island bar and restaurant scene is, O'Brion's Irish Pub and Grille. This James Island bar is located next to the Publix Supermarket on the corner of Folly and Harborview Roads, in the Merchant Village Shopping Center. O'Brion's is a meager five minute car ride from downtown Charleston, SC and about a fifteen minute ride from Folly Beach. Attractive barmaids serve up frosty pints and authentic Irish pub fare for lunch and dinner daily. The O'Brion's on James Island is the second of two bars, owned and operated by a former accountant, gas station owner, an insurance agent, a real estate agent, and an actual bartender. They collaborated and locals seemed to catch on! O'Brion's is here to stay! The goal is for you to enjoy their brand of food, friendship, and fun! The first location, which established themselves as a place to go meet and make new friends over a pint or two was, O'Brion's Irish Pub and Grille located in the I'on subdivision of Mount Pleasant...still a Charleston favorite. Obrion's Pub on James Island plays host to acoustic duos or full bands, several nights a week. The Irish Pub also has a Trivia Night and an All-U-Can-Eat Wing Night on Mondays. If you’re a sports fan, HDTV's line the walls. You'll have no trouble watching your favorite sporting events any night of the week. Book the entire bar and restaurant or choose to reserve a table. Get together for big games, company, holiday, or birthday parties. The owner/operated James Island O'Brion's will be sure to cater to your every need and can make your private function, a memorable one. O'Brion's on JI can provide live music or other forms of entertainment upon request. For those who like to "post up" at the bar or, for those who prefer to sit down for a meal and a beer, O'Brion's has "got you covered". The indoor bar and restaurant at O'Brion's is non -smoking. If you do smoke, they offer outdoor seating equipped with outdoor audio, several cocktail tables, and a flat screen TV. Judging by the (once empty) jam-packed parking lot in the Publix shopping center, O'Brion's Irish Pub and Grille on James Island is definitely here to stay! See for yourself! "Cheers and Irish blessings to ya"!
