  The "Jewel", Mount Pleasant, just north of Charleston, SC is the home to many popular restaurants, bars, and nightlife establishments.  One can choose from fine dining, casual dining, or sushi restaurants depending on what type of cuisine one is in the mood for.

  All the bars, grills, pubs, and taverns have a reputation for fantastic food and great times! After dinner hang out in one of Mt. Pleasant's lounges, watch  live music, or go dance the night away at one of dance clubs in the area.

  One of the most popular establishments in Mount Pleasant is Red's Ice House.  Located on Shem Creek, Red's was established in 1947 and is about as local as you can get.  Red's has some of the freshest local seafood available; literally just off the boat! Red's offers a free local shrimp tasting every Thursday from 6-7pm.  They also have great live music and Happy Hour specials.  Sitting by the water, feeling the sun's warm rays, having a cold one, eating fresh shrimp and listening to good music; just the way we like it here in the lowcountry!
